Project:
Pop Up Store in Berlin
Year: 2015
Client:Apparently Different
Office: de Winder Architects, Berlin
Description
During my tenure with de Winder Architects, I oversaw the design, detailed planning, and execution of a pop-up store in Berlin for the German fashion retailer, Apparently Different. This temporary store aimed to blend the convenience of online shopping with the in-store experience.
Customers had the option to order products directly from a touchscreen within the store's locker room. Upon making selections, a notification would be sent to employees via a tablet, prompting them to locate the desired items and deliver them promptly using a drawer system directly into the designated locker room.
Apparently Different, known for bringing the best of online shopping to brick-and-mortar fashion stores, launched this pop-up store for a one-month duration.
In this temporary fashion store, customers could conveniently choose the clothing they wished to try on through a touchscreen interface. Subsequently, employees would receive notifications on their tablets, proceed to pick the selected garments, place them in a drawer, and within approximately thirty seconds, customers would receive the items in the dressing room for fitting.
