Project:
The L House
Contemporary Housing Part II
Year: 2013
Description
Tailored for the needs of a singular occupant or a couple with a small child and nestled within a forested setting, this residence features a "no-border" circulation design, confining enclosed spaces to the bathroom alone. Every point within the dwelling receives natural light through strategically placed skylights, cleverly dividing the white concrete ceiling into two vertical and one horizontal axis.
The interior space is defined by a consistent use of materials that serve as foundational elements for the entire architectural system. Various wood types, pristine white concrete, and transparent glass collectively emerge as the principal components of this unassuming yet functional housing experiment. These materials not only contribute to the aesthetic appeal but also play a pivotal role in fostering simplicity and functionality throughout the design.
